December 14 @ 10:30 AM11:30 PM

Del Price is a longtime resident of Luray, VA, who has a deep interest in genealogy and local history. Part of the conversation will portray an important historical figure, Bethany Veney, who is Ms. Priceโ€™s relative by marriage. Bethany Veney was an enslaved woman of Luray who authored a memoir titled Aunt Bettyโ€™s Story: A Narrative of Bethany Veney, a Slave Woman. Ms. Price, being a descendent of free blacks, will also speak about the lives of free blacks in the Shenandoah Valley. We expect a lively and informative conversation.
